But The Modfire Is So Delightful

I almost killed the dollhouse people with this 1:12 Modfire replica that Pepper made for me. I loaded up the fire basket with wood and set it "ablaze"...inside the house. After a smack to the forehead, I quickly relocated the piece to an appropriate outdoor space and designed a new miniature scene. The error made me realize that I seriously could use some miniature ethanol gel canisters...Anyway---isn't this mini replica a beauty? Yes it is. Dare I say that Pepper is kind of badass when crafting miniatures. The quality of this piece (like all of her work) is phenomenal. It is sturdy and lightweight with a great paint finish. Even the folks at ModFire are impressed with this miniature version of their fire pit design.

And Pepper has posted a tutorial on how to make this fire pit in miniature. She's saving the rest of us from making dunce caps...

The Goods: Modfire replica by Pepper; outdoor seating is Sirch with Peter Tucker pillows; "Woolly Pockets" are toHOLD; side table is MegaHouse; all acccessories are Kate Aspen, Playmobil, brinca dada, Houseworks, ReMent, Lemax, and common hobby store finds.

  4. Effin Awesome!!! It took me this long to realize you were using unassembled pieces of the emerson as accessories/furniture. Brilliant. Now you have to keep Ocean Drive just for this incredible outdoor space. Way to lit it up Pepper.

  7. Hey Mad For Mod,
You should make one for your Atomic Bungalow. I think it would look "fantabulous" outside on the patio. You are crafty so I'm sure you can make the ModFire.

  10. Thanks Mini Dork!
Pepper is effin awesome! Ha ha--and yes about the Emerson pieces. I have to use almost everything to build a mini scene because I lack craft skills. Chuckles! Yeah, the Ocean Drive will probably be auctioned off soon. I'm not very good about long term relationships--HA! I really want a new modern farmhouse structure. Someday...

  12. Thanks My Realitty,
Wish I was in Paris with you! The 1:12 fire pit is lovely to have but it's also quite the tease. I'd love to have the 1:1 ModFire for the back patio but there's very little room thanks to planters and fruit trees. We'll see though...

  14. Well I must say, as the creator of the 1:1 Modfire i'm very impressed with your endeavor! I think the finished Modfire looks spectacular in it's new setting . I do however have one small suggestion, paint your firebowl black to keep it as authentic as possible. Oh, and great job Pepper!

  18. Ha! Mad For Mod,
I thought you were in the same boat as me (no room)---don't you have a cool house on ebay right now? Smiles! I always am torn about selling the Ocean Drive. We'll see what happens. I need some new houses and with that, some have to go...I'll post if it goes to ebay.
