Sit Caution To The Wind

It is much easier to blend the Igloo chair with 1:12 scale pieces than the Reed chair. I think these Igloo chairs would look excellent in an outdoor setting too--especially if you had a landscaped mid-century structure = awesome. I'm thinking that these chairs might take on another interesting look if you were to wrap them in rope or thread--give them some texture. Speaking of texture...

The wood flooring in this scene is scrapbook paper. I'm actually surprised at how well it photographs and am planning to buy more. The teal wallpaper actually has a map printed on it but you can't see it so well in these images. I think I will use this room again but switch out the teal walls for something else...What do you think of the windmill sculpture? Sure, it's meant to be attached to the exterior of a miniature structure but I like to switch it up and experiment, man. The use of it here has put me on the hunt for a traditional windmill to paint red and use as sculpture in another scene. We'll see where it goes...

The Goods: Igloo chairs are CB2; sofa is MiniModernistas; graffiti pillows are PRD; storage unit is brinca dada; pottery on storage unit is Craig Roberts (The Hairy Potter); planters behind sofa are wonderful gifts from the talented Mini Dork; planters by windmill are brinca dada; windmill is Town Square Miniatures; coffee table is ReMent; all accessories are Playmobil, Lundby, Bozart Toys, X10NY, AG Minis, and DCWV.

  10. HA HA Mini Dork,
You are crazy! I wanted to use that "blows" phrase in my corny post title but didn't. I also briefly considered "Breaking Wind" but thought it might be inappropriate somehow...
Seriously thank you---Oh, and keep an eye on that Antrim because you only live down the street...(insert evil cackle here)

  11. *Love* the colour combination, and the light and shadows of all the shapes. Teal and turquoise are some of my favourite colours, and they look so good with the wood finish and whites :-)
