Green Dollhouse, Silver Acorn

My new home is still a wreck and my dollhouse stuff is all unorganized, but I did manage to put together a single room in the Green Dollhouse. It's a masculine home office, complete with a massive computer center, bear rug and Tikis. I imagine that the owner of this office is an environmental scientist who keeps track of the climate changes around the globe and monitors various ecosystems when he is unable to be at the site. Um yeah...I got a whole story worked out in my head.

The dolls above are my new little family of five. I love their character. I've mentioned before that I am fond of Erna Meyer and Barbara Graff (Kith & Kin) dolls, so it is no surprise that I am a fan of Mary Colleen Eld's work via the Silver Acorn shop on Etsy. You'll remember that Mary also made the Coraline dolls. Mary is phenomenal. It amazes me that she can look at a picture and recreate it with a needle and thread...okay, and some wire, felt, wool, etc. I've been completely pleased with the high quality of the craftsmanship and the down-to-earth and friendly customer service. The dolls are fully poseable and can stand with the help of some putty/sticky tac or with a stand. I have several more dolls on order from her which I'm sure will give Michelle and Kelly at GooseGrease a break. Ha!

The bear rugs and desk are PRD Miniatures. The computer center is Character Options. All the chairs are Reac Japan. All the accessories are AG Minis, Re-Ment, Dolls House Emporium and pieces from various action figures.

And to think...I almost sold those Tikis in my last ebay auction. Ha! These are made by AG Minis and came in their Tiki Party set.

  4. Wow...total dude pad. I love how all the figures are harshing his mel by crowding and leaning over him. At least that is my interpretation of this scene:)

  5. Are these Primeval computers? Hah, I'm not the only one watching BBC America! :)

They work so well in a modern office setting. And I dig the background stories, keep 'em coming.

  6. Hee hee! Yes, they are Primeval computers. I collected the characters before I ever watched the show. The show is just okay. It needs Joss Whedon writing.
