SinPithy...What Does That Mean?

So...I have a problem with the whole restaurant thing. I've made another just so I could make some more tiny menus...okay, not really. This restaurant scene is constructed of several of my little one's Voila Toys and Haba building blocks. I got permission of course, but was reminded on a daily that I was only borrowing and that they did not belong to me...

I don't think I've ever mentioned how often I actually u
se children's building blocks to put modern scenes together. The better building blocks (Haba, Voila, Plan, Dusyma) have beautiful wood grain or are acrylic or translucent or have mirrors. They make great counters, accent walls, tables, headboards, sculptures, etc. I'm particularly fond of how the back bar turned out and will probably revisit the design for a kitchen scene later. I realized while putting this scene together that I need to buy more liquor---some to use to decorate these scenes and some to drink while putting these scenes together.

  1. Wow! That is sooo awesome! You are EXTREMELY good at putting scenes together! I was wondering if you could take a look at my blog, find the post with the link to pictures of my dollhouse, and tell me what you think. I would love to have some feedback from you.

  2. Okay, that's it; I am purchasing the Villa Sibi! Of course it will just join the other incomplete houses that I have! I love what you do with these rooms. Do you only have one Villa that you keep changing or several so that you can keep the room setting for awhile?

  3. Hola AF4564!

    Thanks--I wish I were awesome, but I'm just a nerd with a hobby--ha ha!
I'll take a look at your blog for the picture link--but I think I've seen the pictures already and remember that I liked several pieces of furniture.I'll look again and post via your blog.

  4. Oh no--Mini2b, don't let my bad habits influence you. ha ha! I laugh but I'm serious. I only have one Villa Sibi that I keep redecorating. It's rare that I keep a room the same for very long. To be honest, there are several mini scenes and rooms that I do that never get posted to this blog. Thanks much for the compliments. :)
