Attics are often portrayed as gloomy spaces where memories and family secrets are stored to gather dust. They are also depicted as the site where ghosts and monsters allegedly roam. My childhood bedroom was in an attic. I remember it being a cozy space that wrapped around you in a womb-like or cocoon fashion. It was very peaceful, private and had generous light. Because of its vantage point, I could see practically everything going on in the neighborhood from the windows. Sometimes I miss that sanctuary.
The bed in this miniature scene is from the Momoll Legno furniture set, the lamps are from Plan Toys, the Jonathan Adler pot is from the Kaleidoscope House accessories set, the mirrored wardrobe is from Streets Ahead Dollhouse, the table is from AG Minis and the yellow Panton chair is from Bodo Hennig.
I wish I had the money to really get a life-size version of this room.
