  2. So beautiful to see them all finally finished and photographed! I second Hannah and can't choose just one... I love the modern 1, beach contemp 1, and both Georgians for interiors but the Italianate House 1 wins for exterior with its white walls and dark trim.
I keep thinking how much I wish these designers had mini blogs while making these ;) I want to learn where some of the pieces I don't recognize are from! And some sort of tutorial for building an awesome curved staircase!
Thanks for all your posts about the houses :)

    1. I wish they had posted more about the process too. I would have loved to know how they sourced items. That staircase is AMAZING. It's the main reason why I covet the Georgian houses. I think Megan (Mini Dork at Modern Mini Houses) might build onto her page about the event with more details about the artisans behind the designs.

  3. They are all fantastic, but I'm going with beach house #2. Does anyone have $20K I can have to bid on one?

    1. Absolutely! But I can only take a tiny bit of the credit. I have to tip my hat to Megan and Chris too since Mini Dork has built a great section of her blog on the event and Call Small got us the sneak peek when she was jet-setting around the globe. It takes a village, man!

  6. They actually dropped the starting bids to $15,000. I think I'll get a couple now. :P

(I just blogged both press releases, d'oh, I should have checked your blog first. With the Google Reader shutting down it's RSS feed, and me being too lazy to looking into other RSS feeds, could you please add Follow by Email, to your blog? It's super easy, and then all of your posts will get sent directly to my inbox so I won't miss anything. I posted a quick tutorial here: http://modernminihouses.blogspot.com/2012/09/how-to-add-follow-by-email.html)

Honestly, after seeing call-smalls photos, I am pleasantly surprised to see everything finished so spectacularly. I LOVE both of the living rooms from the Italianate Houses. Almost every house has something I adore. As is the Modern House 1 would be my total package, but my dream house would be to take the Contemporary Beach House and have Natasha Baradaran and Waldo Fernandez design it. Maybe next year! I'm loving all of the PRD Miniatures, minimodernistas, ELF Miniatures. So much modern everywhere. :D

    1. Ha! No--Dude, you needed to blog about the finished houses to complete your coverage. Nobody cares about getting MORE information. Lord knows we need more coverage in the modern dollhouse realm. Wish we had some new houses and products out there. Oh--and $15K is a bargain! You should definitely get two or more. ;)

And, yes, I will stop being lazy and add the Follow by Email.

  7. Contemporary beach house 2 is my all time fave though I adore the central staircase in the Georgian house. I so wish I had the funds to bid.
Thanks for posting all these fab photos and keeping us up to date =0)

  8. I want to thank you for breaking the story that has captivated our little community. This final round up post is excellent. I love that each architectural design has been interpreted by two different designers. Its hard to choose favorites but here goes---Contemporary Beach House 2 and Brownstone as the Monique Lhuillier NY Flagship Boutique.

  9. I LOVE the idea of painting a standard issue mini piano bright yellow. Yay Contemporary Beach house 2. I blogged a few minutes before Modernminihouses, and would have skipped it as your and her post says it all but Hooray for minis. CM
