This Nomad Will Soon Come Home

The Nomad Home that I posted about is almost complete! I'm already making a place for it in my home which means that I'll be selling some structures over the next few weeks. What can I say? I love them and leave them. Anyway, I can't wait to see this model in person. It's been a real joy to work with John Bui. I love the modular deck and the wood selections for the exterior and the interior flooring. And who doesn't love the zebrawood door on the entrance? I have so many design ideas for this structure. Insert evil cackle of glee here. One down and so many more modern structures to collect. Don't you worry little modern farmhouse dollhouse, I'm gonna get you and your little barn door too!! Cue alarmed munchkins and ominous music. Yes, yes I did just fly off on a broomstick... I'm not ashamed.

Note: The structure is 1:12 and the cute chair inside is a smaller scale.

  1. Leave it to you to lure a nomad home!!! I am so impressed, jealous, excited, and curious! Can one have all those emotions at once? Hell, yeah, especially when it comes to modern mini abodes. Any chance you can give me a sneak preview of what you're selling from your collection...? PLEASE??? :)

    1. You can have one too--customized. I know John would make more. Let's see, I will possibly sell the Lundby Stockholm 2005, Ocean Drive House (not the garden/pool), the Green Dollhouse by Plan Toys, The Emerson House production 2, and whatever else is in storage...

  2. Oooh, it is beautiful! Love the shape and the wood contrasted with the white interior.

    1. I agree Josje, the wood veneer is awesome. John also offered the aluminum cladding but I felt that the wood would look better in my home since these structures often become decorative elements in the house.

    1. Ha ha! I hope I give this little structure justice. I have ideas but that doesn't mean they are any good. And in regards to the ruby slippers = NEVER!! Cackle. Cackle. Poof of green smoke.
      ;)

    2. Oh! And I'm sure the alcohol to coffee ratio needs just a little bit more alcohol...and some chocolate chip brioche. Ha!

    1. Hey Troy,
So far, I think I will be selling off the Lundby Stockholm 2005, Ocean Drive House (not the garden/pool), the Green Dollhouse by Plan Toys, The Emerson House production 2, and other stuff that I have to dig out of storage. I'm still on that eternal goal of streamlining my collection. You just know I'll be an old woman still saying this...sigh. Ha!
