Break A Leg

This room was inspired by the Martin Puryear artwork. Last year, I put together an assortment of miniature Sketch Chairs and broke one of them during the process. It was the leg of the chair that I broke beyond repair. I was forced to shorten all of the legs to sad stumps. However, I am glad that I didn't discard this broken chair because it looks pretty good here next to the image of the Puryear sculpture. I took quick pictures of the scene above at two different times of the day and didn't expect any great images. Somehow I lucked out. In the end, I couldn't decide which lighting I preferred so many of them are posted here.

The Goods: The sofa is an ebay find; the chair is Sketch Chair, the coffee tables are brinca dada and PRD; the side table is PRD; the shelving unit is Logan Hendrickson of One Forty Three; the anglepoise lamp is Just Mustard; the art is Martin Puryear; all accessories are Mini Dork, Re-Ment, Peter Tucker, Bozart Toys, The Hairy Potter, and Diamond Select.

  3. Never in a million years would I have bought that couch, and yet you make it look gorgeous in this room. This room is a perfect example of why you need to buy two of everything. Love the matching lamps and the KH vases; the sets make the one offs look great too. Bravo!

    1. Do you know I am now looking for more of these kinds of sofas?? ha ha!! I think it is a Louis or something like that. DHE has one. If I were more crafty like a certain someone I know (you!), I would recover them in modern fabrics. So many crafts and so little skills and time...
      Thanks MD!

I know it sounds funny but I really need to shop for more little accessories. Hmm...I probably didn't need to say "little" there...
