Handmade A-Frame Ranch On Ebay...

Interesting how things come full circle. I remember seeing this dollhouse via someone's blog or website last year. The site author was lamenting about not having purchased this dollhouse from a thrift store or flea market. They had a picture of this house as it was displayed for sale and I was slightly frustrated because I could not see the inside of the structure. It's an interesting dollhouse but the inside doesn't look the way I had imagined. I definitely think it needs some TLC and remodeling. I like the flooring in the house--although it is the top of the table upon which the dollhouse is based. All the dollhouse figures have to teleport or morph through the walls to get from room to room...

  1. I like the vibe, it reminds me of summer days in the country. But I agree the rooms need to communicate to create some flow. I like the hanging fixture!

  2. Oh, man....this is the kind of dollhouse I drool over to get my hands on. Guess I will have to wait and see where the bidding goes!!! I just love the original handmade dollhouse. Melissa

  3. Aside from the teleport issue, it also seems as though you have to choose between having a bathroom or a kitchen.

So either the inhabitants take all their meals at the diner down the road, or else bears aren't the only ones doing you-know-what in the woods! :D

  4. There's another issue too...I asked the seller what shipping would be to Virginia and he quoted me a price of $275.00! I have no idea what his reserve is. I know I have seen other dollhouses where the shipping was around the fifty dollar amount. Oh well. Won't be bothering with this one. But it still is pretty cool looking. Melissa

  6. Yep, that's what he quoted me at! I was really surprised too...even at $100.00 I might have considered it....but not at that shipping rate. Oh well. Got a question to throw out there. I am busy on restoring another dollhouse and I just simply have run out of room! I have a lunby dollhouse that has two extra levels to it with a bunch of furniture. I am seriously thinking of selling it but I have no idea what to charge. Anybody have any ideas? It's not in bad condition but if I were to keep it, I would replace some of the wallpaper and the roof paper has some damage to it. Got any ideas on where I should sell it? I know some people love these dollhouses and since I am not displaying it, I sure would like it to go to a good home. Thanks! Great to see some "modern dollhouse" folks out there! Melissa
