Teak in the Bedroom

I know. I decorate my bedrooms very similar. A good friend recently pointed out that my own bedroom looks like the ones I design in miniature. I honestly never noticed. It tells me two things: 1). I like my sleep space to be minimal and serene and 2). I have extremely limited design skills, which is not a news flash.

The picture below is typical of what often happens to the miniature scenes when I am not around.

I guess I’m supposed to believe that those figures just couldn’t help themselves—the room being so “serene” and all. Apparently, everyone I associate with is a comedian.

  2. I am nowhere near "amazing", but thank you very much. Because I am a parent, decorating is usually a weekend endeavor that takes place early in the morning before my little ones awake or at night after they are tucked into their beds. It doesn't seem like much work though because I find it relaxing and it gives me time to think. I guess it is my version of a Zen Garden.

  3. Not only are you amazing: you are AWESOME! Incredible attention to detail, color and layout. I can't wait to see more of your work. If you don't already know this, believe me, you are an aritist. I should know, I am married to one who practices in a different medium.
